Hello my name is Angela Sivertsen. I came into STARS September of 2007 as a client. After being there, I was placed in a treatment center and have been able to be clean and sober since. In October of 2014, I was finally able to get a job working for STARS. This company has helped me grow so much as a person. I had left for a couple of months due to some personal issues. I returned to the job and the clients I love, I was also able to get into a new job position which was exciting for me. Working at STARS has been like working with family ,which is not always a good thing, but in this case it has been. My hope is to help people who are like how I used to be, when I was so desperate for a different life, and now I have one.

I have been working with STARS for three years now. It's been a great learning experience, and I have been able to work with some very talented people. I think the greatest reward is seeing the people who come for help to gain skills to support recovery benefit from the program. I don't think we often find our fit, but it is good to feel like you are a piece of the puzzle not only in this work environment, but in the lives of the those going through the recovery process.
